ER Physician
Battle Mountain General Hospital is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to provide on-site emergency department coverage on a flexible, independent contractor (1099) basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for physicians looking to supplement their current practice with additional shifts while enjoying the flexibility to choose when they work. There is no minimum shift commitment, and physicians may pick up available shifts based on department needs and their availability.

Role Description:
The Emergency Medicine Physician role located in Battle Mountain, NV. This clinician provides comprehensive emergency care, including rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment of patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries across all age groups. Daily responsibilities include performing histories and physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, initiating appropriate treatment plans, and coordinating transfers or admissions when needed.
The physician works closely with nursing and ancillary staff to ensure timely triage, effective communication, and adherence to patient safety protocols. The role also includes documentation in the medical record, participation in quality improvement activities, and collaboration with hospital leadership to enhance emergency and urgent care services for the community.
Qualifications:
- Strong foundation in Medicine with the ability to manage a broad range of acute and chronic conditions.
- Demonstrated expertise in Emergency Medicine and Emergency Services for patients with acute, time-sensitive needs.
- Experience providing Urgent Care for non-life-threatening conditions requiring prompt evaluation and treatment.
- Proficiency in Critical Care Medicine for the stabilization and management of critically ill or injured patients.
- Graduate of an accredited medical school and completion of an Emergency Medicine residency or equivalent training.
- Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine (or relevant primary specialty with significant emergency experience).
- Unrestricted license (or eligibility for licensure) to practice medicine in the state of Nevada and current DEA registration.
- Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications, or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
- Effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, and commitment to patient-centered care.
- Experience or strong interest in rural medicine and community-based health care is highly beneficial.

Clinic Manager
Position Summary:
Battle Mountain General Hospital is seeking a qualified and motivated Clinic Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our rural health clinic. This position plays a vital role in ensuring quality patient care, managing clinic staff, and driving performance improvements across clinical services. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership and organizational skills, with management experience required and clinical experience preferred.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, full-time, at will
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support clinic staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Oversee daily clinic operations and ensure efficient patient flow and care delivery
- Monitor compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and standards
- Collaborate with providers and administrative leadership on strategic initiatives
- Manage clinic budgets, staffing, inventory, and workflow optimization
- Ensure exceptional patient experience and continuous quality improvement
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Proven management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Preferred:
- Clinical experience in a medical office, outpatient, or rural health setting
- Familiarity with EHR systems, clinic operations, and regulatory standards
