Telemedicine Alzheimer’s and Dementia Clinics

Battle Mountain General Hospital and the University of Nevada School of Medicine is pleased to bring urban medical specialists face-to-face with Alzheimer’s and dementia patients in Battle Mountain through the capabilities of telemedicine.

In addition to medical care, the telemedicine project is used to train health care professionals and caregivers and to provide a venue by which support groups can meet.

Our telemedicine program is aimed at reducing the economic burden associated with long-term care costs for patients, families, and employers through early identification and intervention of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Since its implementation we are pleased that several local families have benefitted from our Telemedicine Clinic.

Battle Mountain General Hospital as a district hospital, provides quality care to all patients regardless of their ability to pay. When medical bills become unmanageable, BMGH offers the Community Care Program to eligible patients whose financial problems happen to qualify for an adjustment to charges.

Qualifying patients may have all or a portion of their bill waived. If you or someone you know is interested in the Community Care Program, please ask us for more information when we return to the line.
