Battle Mountain General Hospital, with the help of local businesses and healthcare services, have promoted the Lander County Health Fair as an ongoing effort to inform, educate and empower the community to adapt to healthier lifestyle behaviors. Every year, the public is invited to participate in free health screening and activities, including blood pressure checks, body fat analysis, and cancer awareness. The Emergency Department has an enlarged waiting area, an additional exam room, and traffic control for security and privacy. The Long Term Care Day Room has doubled in size into a homey gathering room for our residents and their guests.
